How Much Does a Roll-Off Dumpster Rental Cost?

Put simply, Pot-O-Gold’s dumpsters cost as little as $425 to as much as $895 per dump. Just as anything in life is hardly simple, so is accurately pricing your dumpster rental online. Calculating the cost of a dumpster is a complicated task with many variables at play. Depending on your area, there may be more variables and fees that are imposed by local governments that increase the price of your dumpster rental. For instance, the city of Houston imposes a “Franchise Fee” (see house bill 4344) and an “Environmental Fee” which total “4% of the operator’s applicable gross revenues” and $7.50 respectively. Usually, the variables necessary to calculate your dumpster cost is size, landfill dump fee, delivery fee, the cost of fuel, rental rates, and sales tax. Operating in one area can be far more expensive than it is in others unfortunately, and this leads to higher prices for customers.

What Are the Benefits of Renting a Dumpster?

Renting a dumpster can make cleaning up large messes and discarding large amounts of construction debris easier for everyone. Having a large amount of drywall, old furniture, and whatnot sitting out by the road in a giant heap is a major eyesore. It can also be a violation in some areas. Your local trash company may not even pick it up. When you rent a dumpster, it makes life a lot easier to toss your waste. Everything is contained within the dumpster and then it is hauled away when you are finished with it as if it has never been there.

Which Dumpster Size Is Appropriate?

Determining the size dumpster, you need depends on the amount of debris you plan on throwing out. If you are building a house, you are likely going to need a larger unit like our 30-yard roll-off dumpster. It can accommodate a large amount of debris, and if it is loaded correctly, it will only need it to be dumped once. If you are cleaning out a garage, doing a kitchen remodel, or clearing an old tree, a 15-yard dumpster should be more than enough.

What Can I Put into A Dumpster Rental?

This is a probably the most common question we receive about our dumpsters. Due to regulations, environmental, and safety concerns, tires, paint, asbestos, mattresses, refrigerators, freon, appliances, air conditioners, house-hold trash, and toxic chemicals cannot be put in our dumpsters. Most of the listed items have to be disposed of by specialists and cannot be dumped in a general landfill.
