Welcome back to Meet The Staff! Today’s focus is own Darius Houston, a pump truck driver who has been with Pot-O-Gold since June 2017. Darius was born on September 20, 1991 in Chicago, Il. He is the father of 2 children who “brighten his day.” I his free time, Darius enjoys shopping, playing basketball with his son, playing video games, watching scary movies, and spending a lot of time with his family. Darius’s favorite food is Giordano’s deep dish pizza. You can’t go wrong with pizza. Ever. His ideal vacation would be to go to Disney World with his children. “I want to see the excitement on their face!”
If Darius could get any actor to play him in a movie, he would want to get Forest Whitaker to play the role. “He is a wonderful actor who taps into the best characters.” “Plus he’s my favorite.” Trap music gets Darius’s blood flowing in the morning. “Something about the sound just gets me ready for the day.” Darius’s best attribute would be being able to put people’s needs before his own. It takes a special kind of attitude to be able to think about other people before yourself. His most unusual habit is biting his finger nails, so he is completely normal. If he could have any car, he would want a blue ’63 Chevelle with a white racing stripe. Nice! If he could meet one person, he would want to meet Mansa Musa. “Richest guy in history. He can tell me a lot.” Darius is a sucker for children and dogs. When he was growing up, Darius wanted to be the greatest football player the world has ever seen. His most fond memory is of waking up and being able to be a kid. Riding bikes, playing in the dirt, etc. His nicknames are Apple Face, Big D, Pooh Bear, and Big Homie. My guess is that Pooh Bear is for family members only? If Darius could go anywhere, he would want to go to Africa so he can learn about his lineage. 3 major things on his bucket list include sky diving (brave man), mountain climbing (I’m seeing a pattern here), and to do the “tough mudder challenge.” Darius’s guilty pleasure is watching reality tv. We all love to watch trash TV from time to time. Darius’s first celebrity crush was Keisha Cole. The best piece of advice he has ever received came from Pot-O-Gold’s Scott Mosby. “Learn cryto currency and it will change your life.” Bitcoin IS fantastic, but volatile. Darius’s first job was at a park factory in Chicago. Finally, if Darius could have one super power it would be the power of invisibility for the times where he needs to just get away.
